Hon’ Minister of Electronics & IT and Law & Justice, Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad, in the august presence of Patamjali Ayurved’s Acharya Bakrishna ji, inaugurated the ‘National Conference on Emerging Opportunities through CSC’ at Siri Fort Auditorium in New Delhi on August 22.

Addressing the audience of more than 2500 VLEs, the Hon’ Minister hailed the outstanding efforts of CSC VLEs in delivering digital services in rural areas of country.
He praised the women VLEs, who provide government services through their CSCs in far flung areas, particularly mentioning the name of Smt. Janki Kashyap, who provides digital services in the naxal affected area of Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh.
The Hon’ Minister announced that his Ministry will send five best performing women VLEs to the United States and further award Re. 1 lakh to outstanding District VLE societies.
He praised the women VLEs, who provide government services through their CSCs in far flung areas, particularly mentioning the name of Smt. Janki Kashyap, who provides digital services in the naxal affected area of Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh.
The Hon’ Minister announced that his Ministry will send five best performing women VLEs to the United States and further award Re. 1 lakh to outstanding District VLE societies.
Addressing the mammoth gathering, Acharya Balkrishna ji of Patanjali Ayurveda ensured his complete assistance for selling Patanjali products in rural areas through CSC centres.
On the occasion of exchange of MOU between CSC and Patanjali, Acharya Balkrishna said that, 40,000 CSCs have registered with Patanjali for medical tele-consultations through 800 Ayurvedic practitioners, benefiting citizens in rural India, and we will provide more if needed.
On the occasion, Acharya Balkrishna ji announced provision of free Yoga training to CSC VLEs at Patanjali Yog Pith to teach Yoga in rural areas to realise the dream of making India disease free.
While speaking on the occasion, Dr. Ajay Bhushan Pandey, CEO, UIDAI, admired the achievements of CSC VLEs in discharging Aadhaar services in rural areas. Mr. Bhushan said, VLEs in rural areas have helped UIDAI in enrolling small children, old people, patients and those who could not travel to Aadhaar centres by enrolling them by visiting their households.
He added that lately CSC VLEs have performed better in last few months, illegal practices have been reduced in making Aadhaar, and complaints regarding Aadhaar have been decreased.
On the occasion Mobile van was also flagged off for making Aadhaar visiting door to door.
Addressing the conference, Shri Ajay Prakash Sawhney Secretary, MEITY, said that the Ministry is able to connect with people in rural India through CSC VLEs, who provide government services there.
CSC has played a vital role in delivering digital literacy and financial including services in villages and more such schemes will be launched in near future to be implemented through CSC.

Dr US Awasthi, CEO & MD IFFCO admired the exchange of MOU between IFFCO and CSC for delivering agro products directly to farmers in rural areas. He said that, OFFCO will provide all things and will help VLEs to survive in competitive market.
Prof. Ravindra Kumar, Vice Chancellor, IGNOU, congratulated CSC on its collaboration with CSC for delivering education in rural areas. He said that through CSC centres people in rural areas will be able to register for admission, deposit their fees and avail study material.
On the occasion, Hon’ minister launched new services including – Sale of Patanjali FMCG products through CSCs, Bharat BillPay service through CSCs, Deposit Service in Aadhaar Enabled Payment System – Digi Pay.
